The RESP (a registered education savings plan) allows you to save for a child's future education in a tax-sheltered manner. You may contribute a lifetime maximum of $50,000 per beneficiary. Thanks to the Canada Education Savings Grant, RESP holders can receive an annual government grant (see below).

The RESP provides you with major advantages. One benefit is the ability to invest in the CDSPI family of funds — 36 investment funds (plus Guaranteed Funds) that come with proven records of performance and no-cost investment guidance. And unlike many other investment funds, the CDSPI funds charge no loads, commission or routine transaction fees* — just modest fund management fees which are among the lowest you'll find anywhere.

* Surcharges may be levied for short-term trading.
