A new President named for CDSPI

Our President and CEO, Sue Armstrong will be retiring in May 2018. Effective January 1, 2018, Sue hands over her role as President to Ed Dermit, current Vice President of Business Development. Sue will retire from her role as CEO in May.

Sue has led CDSPI for eight years with a dedication to excellence, a clear eye on the future, and a tireless focus on expanding services for the dental community. Ed joined CDSPI in 2014, and has spent his entire 20-year career in the wealth management and insurance industries in progressively senior roles. He is looking forward to guiding CDSPI on its continued mission to enhance the lives of dental professionals.

 Qtrade Investor releases upgraded online application

Qtrade for Investors has released a new and improved online application. This streamlined application makes it faster and easier for self-directed investors to open new accounts, and easier for branch representatives to create referrals.

Notably, the new application includes both eID and eSignature, making it entirely paperless. Clients will no longer have to print off or mail physical documents—everything can now be completed online.

CDSPI publishes book in co-operation with retirement lifestyle expert, Dr. Alan Roadburg

A survey conducted by CDSPI, Dr. Alan Roadburg, PhD, and retired dentists indicates that retirement happiness extends beyond financial preparedness. It includes quality of life when retired and replacing the personal satisfaction one normally experiences as a working professional. These insights, along with others, formed the basis for a book CDSPI published in co-operation with Dr. Alan Roadburg, PhD, titled Life After Dentistry: Retirement Lifestyle Readiness. CEO and President Susan Armstrong recognized for outstanding company and community achievements

Susan Armstrong Achievements

The Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario recently honoured CDSPI CEO and President Susan Armstrong with the high distinction of a "Fellow" at the FCPA Evening of Distinction, held November 17, 2016. Election of the CPA Ontario Fellows, designated by the initials FCPA, is one of the highest honours a profession can bestow. Susan was one of 59 select members of the profession who has been formally recognized for her exemplary service, both to CDSPI and the community. She is a well known and devoted advocate of community health care and her customer-centric vision has been key in expanding the company's customer reach.
