StaffAbout 60 staff, including 12 licensed insurance and investment planning advisors, are employed by CDSPI and its licensed affiliate, CDSPI Advisory Services Inc., working out of CDSPI’s office in Toronto, Ontario. As President, Susan M. Armstrong is responsible for the management of all facets of the day-to-day operations of CDSPI and reports directly to the Board of Directors. Ms. Armstrong heads the company comprised of Insurance Services, Investment Services, Finance and Internal Operations, Information Technology and Marketing. Meet Our Executive Team
Susan M. Armstrong joined CDSPI in June of 2009. She is a Chartered Accountant and has earned the ICD.D designation granted by the Institute of Corporate Directors. Her extensive experience in the Canadian insurance and reinsurance industries includes serving most recently as Senior Vice-President of Swiss Reinsurance Company Canada, with previous roles at CIBC Insurance and The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company. She also serves on the Board of Directors of several not-for-profit organizations in the health care sector and a public company in the publishing industry.
Corry joined CDSPI in 1989 and today leads a team of eight in the company’s Information Technology Department. She possesses a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and brings to CDSPI nearly 25 years of experience in the IT field.
As Vice-President of Insurance Services, Veda Harricharran has nearly 23 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been part of CDSPI since 1984. A graduate of the Administrative Practices program at Centennial College, she also holds a certificate of Life, Health and Variable Annuity from the University of Florida and holds designations in Associate Customer Service (ACS) and Associate Insurance Agency Administration (AIAA) from LOMA.
With over 20 years of marketing experience, Paul Harris heads a marketing department of nine serving the CDSPI group of companies. Prior to joining CDSPI in 1993, he produced marketing campaigns and materials for companies as diverse as the Royal Bank of Canada, Coca-Cola and Mackenzie Financial. He is a member of the Canadian Marketing Association, and has a Master's degree from the University of Toronto.
With ten years of experience in the financial planning industry, Michael Holmes leads the company’s nine-member Investment Services Department. Before joining CDSPI in 2005, he attained the distinction of being Freedom 55 Financial's number four advisor in Canada. Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree, is a Certified Financial Planner and a financial management advisor. In addition, he possesses the Ch.P. Strategic Wealth and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designations.
As the senior financial and operations member of CDSPI’s Executive Team, Ruby Zack brings to the table thirty-two years of experience with CDSPI as well as four years prior financial and administrative experience in the insurance field. She has a Bachelor of Administrative Studies, a CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation and is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario.
