| • Introducing CDSPI Group Benefits Introducing CDSPI Group BenefitsNow, dentists can cover health-related expenses in a flexible, cost-effective way. Offered through Quikcard, the new CDSPI Group Benefits plan allows dentists (outside of Quebec and Ontario) to protect themselves and their immediate families — or everyone employed in their practices — with employee group benefits. With the CDSPI Group Benefits plan, everyday health care costs, such as prescription medications and extended health can be covered. To manage expenses for more serious circumstances, a full range of employee group insurance products is also available, such as life, disability and travel insurance. A great advantage of CDSPI Group Benefits is that dentists can tailor a benefits package to meet their distinct staffing and budgeting needs. In addition, offering these benefits to staff can help dentists retain valuable employees. To learn more, click here. CDSPI Funds Get High MarksThe CDSPI family of investment funds has brought home an excellent report card — showing high marks in the quartile rankings. Quartile rankings* are a measure of how well a fund has performed against all other funds in its asset category (e.g. Canadian equity, international equity, income, etc.) over a specified time period. The top 25 per cent of funds with the highest returns in a given category are assigned a quartile ranking of 1. The next 25 per cent are assigned a ranking of 2…on down to a ranking of 4. In the one-year period ending September 30, 2011, 88 per cent of all CDSPI funds achieved a quartile ranking of 1 or 2 (performing in the top 50 per cent of all funds in their categories). Over the longer term, the quartile results are also impressive. In the three-year period ending the same date, 90 per cent of all CDSPI funds achieved a quartile ranking of 1 or 2, and 95 per cent of all CDSPI funds achieved a 1 or 2 ranking in the five-year period ending on this date. CDSPI investment funds are available exclusively to dental professionals and their families to invest in the plans of the Canadian Dentists' Investment Program.
