Current role
Debbie Okamoto joined CDSPI Advisory Services Inc. in 2007 as a Senior Investment Planning Advisor, following 31 years of experience in financial service roles at some of Canada’s major banks. Focusing on dentists at all stages of their careers, Debbie provides financial planning solutions that address their investment, retirement, tax and estate planning goals, while minimizing exposure to risk.
Experience
A veteran of the financial services industry with 40+ years of experience, Debbie gained much of her client expertise and financial knowledge through practical experience and courses completed “on the job”. She also holds the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation and has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®).
Outside of work
Outside of her professional life, Debbie is a culinary enthusiast who enjoys cooking and exploring local and international dining experiences. She also has an intrepid spirit and has covered considerable international ground, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, weathering an extreme thunderstorm during an overnight boat trip in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, and taking a trail ride in the foothills of the Andes in Mendoza, Argentina. Back at home, Debbie appreciates a good, live theatre narrative, which she enjoys in the company of her grandchildren, who keep her busy and active.
