Sue Armstrong joined CDSPI in June of 2009 as President and Chief Executive Officer. She is responsible for leading CDSPI’s advisory, wealth management, insurance, and health and wellness service offerings for the Canadian dental community.
Sue has over 20 years of experience at the senior executive level in the insurance and reinsurance industries. In addition to serving as a director of West Park Healthcare Centre, she is Director and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee of Toronto East General Hospital.
Ed Dermit joined CDSPI in September 2014, bringing over 15 years of senior management experience in financial services marketing. Prior to CDSPI, Ed held senior roles at Manulife Asset Management, VenGrowth, ING Investment Management and AGF.
Ed has a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University, and enjoys playing hockey in his leisure time.
Corry Cheung joined CDSPI in 1989 as a Programmer and was then promoted to the position of Manager of Information Technology (IT) in 1999. She has been serving as Vice-President of IT since 2009, and has more than 25 years of experience in the IT field.
Leading a team of 10 individuals, Corry oversees the Programming, Network & System Security, and Operations divisions in CDSPI’s IT Department. Corry possesses a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.
Susan Roberts has practiced in the insurance industry for over 20 years in several advisory and claim focused roles. In her role as Vice-President of the Insurance Advisory team, she leads a team of experienced insurance advisors who provide expertise and guidance to Canadian dental professionals.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario along with numerous insurance industry licenses and designations. Susan is the Deputy Principal Broker at CDSPI Advisory Services Inc.
Margaret Rutherford joined CDSPI in 2012 as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer (VP & CFO) and is responsible for finance, banking operations, compliance, human resources, and insurance and investment administration. She brings over 20 years of finance experience to CDSPI after holding progressively senior roles at some of Canada’s well-known financial institutions.
Margaret holds the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA,CA) designation and possesses a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) degree from the University of Toronto.
Julie Yoshikuni joined CDSPI in 2016 as Vice-President, Marketing. She is responsible for leading the Marketing team and marketing strategy. This includes managing the brand, social media and websites, with a focus on promoting and educating the Canadian dental community about the insurance, investments and support offered by CDSPI.
Julie has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and product roles within the financial services industry. She has a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Toronto.
