May 1, 2020
The Province of Alberta shared its relaunch strategy, which follows a gradual and phased approach to re-opening businesses and services. Beginning Monday, May 4th, as a part of phase one, dentists and other health-care workers may resume their services, as long as they are able to abide by guidelines set forth by their professional colleges. Alberta Health Services will also resume some scheduled and non-urgent surgeries at this time.
As early as May 14, additional businesses will be allowed to resume full operation following increased infection control measures. These businesses include certain retail stores, hairdressers, and additional health-care services such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, and optometrists.
