About the Job

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically capable Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to bridge business operations and technology solutions across the organization.

This role will work closely with stakeholders in Finance, Insurance/Investment Administration, Marketing/Client Experience and Advisory Services, to analyze processes, define system requirements and assess solutions, support data initiatives, and contribute to enterprise modernization projects. The BSA will play a key role in optimizing workflows, improving data integrity, supporting system integrations (internal and external), and driving operational efficiency.

This is not a pure documentation and analysis role — the ideal candidate is comfortable working with data, understanding system architecture, and collaborating closely with developers to deliver sophisticated business solutions that enable automation and process efficiency. This position represents a current, existing vacancy within the organization.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $85,000-105,000 per annum, based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for comprehensive benefits including participation in our Group RSP.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Requirements Support

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business solution
    requirements
  • Facilitate & present at workshops and stakeholder meetings
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation and
    workflow diagrams
  • Translate business needs into structured functional requirements

Data & Systems Analysis/Support

  • Perform basic SQL (SQL Server/ODBC) queries to inspect,
    validate and reconcile data
  • Assist in investigating system issues, documenting findings and
    providing user support as required
  • Support data quality reviews and validation of report output for
    both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document information flows and integration points between
    systems

Testing & Implementation Support

  • Prepare and execute test cases for system enhancements
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Document test results and track defects
  • Support post-release validation and issue tracking

Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Maintain internal documentation repositories
  • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Help document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Contribute to data governance and system standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Finance on invoice, payment, and reporting workflows
  • Collaborate with the Insurance Administration team on insurance
    lifecycle processes
  • Engage the Insurance and Investment advisory teams to
    streamline CRM and sales reporting workflows
  • Support Salesforce CRM and Back Office process enhancements
    and integrations
  • Assist with reporting requirements for management, partners and
    compliance

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
  • Experience writing functional specifications and process documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences)
  • Proven ability to work independently while fostering collaborative, cross-functional relationships at all levels, including with executive leadership
  • Comfortable working with complex spreadsheets and data
  • Strong attention to detail

Work Environment

  • Hybrid model: Work from home and the office
  • Attend CDSPI's Toronto office as needed in accordance with company policy
