Lyle Best Humanitarian Award – Nomination Packages are now Available

Nomination packages are now available for The Lyle Best Humanitarian Award. This $15,000 award honours an individual, dental practice or organization in Canada who has had a profound impact on the dental health of impoverished populations, both nationally or internationally.

Nominations are now Open

The Nomination Package is available on the Manitoba Dental Foundation website.

Deadline for nomination is Friday, September 2, 2022.

The Announcement and Presentation to the Recipient will be held November 5 during the 2022 Smile Gala Snowball at the RBC Winnipeg Convention Center in support of the Manitoba Dental Foundation.

About Lyle

An entrepreneur and corporate leader, Lyle Best is a model of community spirit, social responsibility, and generosity. He has served in leadership roles with charitable, sports and community organizations, including the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club, Kids with Cancer, and the University of Alberta, among many others. Lyle was also awarded the Order of Canada in 2008. In 2021, after 23 years of serving the Canadian dental community as a member of the CDSPI Board (with 15 years as Chair) Lyle announced his departure from the Board.
