Beginning May 4th, the province of Manitoba will begin easing restrictions. Like other provinces, they will implement a phased approach, followed by a minimum 3-4 week period of evaluation, before moving to the next phase.
Under the newly released plan, Manitoba dentists and dental hygienists can resume practicing on Monday, May 4th. They will be required to adhere to social distancing guidelines such as facilitating physical distancing in waiting rooms and limiting occupancy to 50% of their normal business levels. Additional safety guidelines are also being imposed to limit the spread of COVID-19.
As a part of phase one, other health care providers, including chiropractors, physiotherapists, optometrists and podiatrists will be allowed to re-open. In addition to this, some retail businesses, including restaurants with patios and/or takeout options, museums, galleries, libraries, outdoor recreation facilities, parks and day camps will also be allowed to re-open.
