Saskatchewan Announces Plans to Re-Open Businesses Including Dental Practices

April 23, 2020

On April 23rd, Premier Scott Moe and Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Saqib Shahab, announced the province’s phased approach to lift restrictions and re-open businesses and services. Broken into five phases, the plan outlines which types of businesses can re-open and when. It also outlines measures that businesses must take to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including physical distancing, cleaning, and disinfection practices to protect customers and employees.

Phase one of the plan is set to begin on Monday, May 4th, which includes the re-opening of medical services, including dentistry. Providers will be required to take precautionary measures when physical distancing is not possible, as outlined by the Chief Medical Health Officer.
