I want to take this opportunity to update you regarding our efforts to resolve this matter. I am disappointed that we are not writing to you today about a clear resolution from Aviva.
Status with Aviva
We are in daily active discussions with Aviva and continue to strongly advocate that TripleGuardTM pandemic claims be paid in all provinces. I believe this is the right thing to do and I have clearly expressed my position to Aviva.
With this in mind, I ask for your continued patience. I understand this has been a frustrating experience for you and we have asked Aviva to confirm next steps for our policyholders as quickly as possible. They also understand your concerns and are working through multiple re-insurance agreements and provincial announcements that add to the complexity for a quicker resolution.
Filing a Claim
We know that many of you have already filed claims for pandemic coverage. Thank you. If you have not done this, but intend to, please click on the link below to provide your information. We will provide clear direction on how to proceed with your claim as soon as we have that information from Aviva. I know many of you have contacted us and left messages about your claim. The CDSPI Insurance Advisory Team is working diligently to return every single call, however the volumes are extremely high, and we ask for your patience with this process too.
