About the Job

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing analytics, specifications, reporting, and integration processes that centralize business data, drive organizational decision-making, enhance customer experience and ensure compliance with corporate and project specific reporting/data management requirements.

The role will focus on the consolidation and transformation of raw data into actionable insights, automation of related processes, and the development of reliable, high-impact analytics and dashboards. This will be done in conjunction with a robust, corporate data governance process that enables and maintains the consolidation, ownership, integrity and structure of data across the organization.

The ideal candidate is an energetic and motivated problem solver who has a passion for data analysis, technology, problem solving, and enabling data-driven decision making. A track record of interpreting data and communicating insightful and inspiring reporting and analysis is critical to success in this role. This position represents a current, existing vacancy within the organization.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $110,000-130,000 per annum, based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for comprehensive benefits including participation in our Group RSP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of capabilities to enable a better understanding of operational efficiencies, sales, and business trends
  • Formulate and implement supporting processes using leading practice research, analytics methodologies and artificial-intelligence based solutions as appropriate
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver cross-functional, streamlined and automated reporting, dashboards of strategic, operational and key performance indicators
  • Analyze and document data management requirements for projects and ongoing business operations
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Conduct regular, comprehensive reviews of integration processes, analytics, data structures and reports to ensure ease of use, logical organization and accessibility
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of data governance foundations and architecture to support long-term business and analytical needs
  • Build predictive models and statistical analyses to support business forecasting and scenario planning
  • Integrate data from various business systems and external sources (e.g., Partner reports, Back Office, Salesforce, Qualtrics, JotForm, Excel, SQL/ODBC databases etc.) to provide holistic views of customer relationships and business performance.
  • Mentor and assist staff in the use of data integration, reporting, and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Google Analytics)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • A University degree in business, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science
  • Advanced proficiency with survey software, data integration tools and reporting platforms, preferably including Qualtrics, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate key information concisely to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work independently while fostering collaborative, cross-functional relationships at all levels, including with executive leadership
  • Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop creative, data-informed solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong executive-level presentation capabilities
  • Highly process-oriented, with the ability to design, document, and communicate clear workflows
  • Comfortable with assessing and utilizing technology to develop, implement and maintain business processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in data management, integration, reporting, and dashboards using a variety of technologies and tools including PowerBI, Google Analytics, Tableau, SQL, advanced Excel etc.
  • Skilled in automated reporting and data flows
  • Ability to mentor and train others on analytics tools, methods, and best practices
  • Innovative mindset with experience improving analytics processes and insights
  • Ability to apply statistical methods, predictive modelling, and advanced analytics to solve business problems

Work Environment

  • Hybrid model: Work from home and the office
  • Attend CDSPI's Toronto office as needed in accordance with company policy
