About Jaye

Jaye Walter is an Investment Planning Advisor holding the CIM®, TEP, FMA®, and FCSI® designations. He is also a CFP professional. Jaye has 20+ years of experience in the financial services industry and he joined CDSPI Advisory Services Inc. in 2019 as a senior financial planner focused on wealth management. He works with high-net-worth clients providing solutions for their investment, retirement, tax, business succession and estate planning goals.

“Honesty and integrity are the values that CDSPI advisors live by. In the world of financial planning, that means being direct and upfront about expectations and building strong, trusted relationships with our clients who then become our advocates.”

Perspective on Working with Dentists

Jaye is a specialist in estate planning, and he also enjoys the other aspects of working with dentists such as navigating foreign tax laws and resolving cross-border financial planning issues. Working with clients to provide solutions is what makes financial planning one of the most rewarding careers.

“Dentists are driven to provide an excellent experience for their patients in their practice. This inspires me and I enjoy guiding them through the financial planning process.”

Jaye considers every challenge a learning opportunity and his key objective is to help clients create a strong financial plan. “Every February, we receive calls about making Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) contributions. This is a chance to refine your strategy by understanding the RRSP and its advantages. Contributing to an RRSP offers the ability to lower your tax liability for the previous tax year while also saving toward a goal. It is important to define your goal and to know what you want your retirement to look like. This is why we talk about having a financial plan – so you can reach your financial goals, be they retirement planning, estate planning, planning for the education of your children, or insurance planning.”
