Created by dentists, CDSPI is a not-for-profit organization established in 1959 with the sole purpose of arranging programs for the benefit of dentists who are members of CDSPI’s member dental associations. CDSPI helps dentists and dental students achieve and maintain financial well-being by empowering them to protect and grow their wealth with customized financial advice, insurance, and investments.

About the Job:
The Marketing and Customer Experience department builds awareness and deepens engagement to drive new business and strengthen member retention. Through data-driven insights, member understanding, and cross-organizational collaboration, we steward the CDSPI brand and deliver clear, consistent communications, integrated campaigns, and seamless digital experiences. We equip teams with the tools, messaging, and insights they need to better serve dentists—supporting stronger relationships, sustained engagement, and long-term membership value.
As Marketing & Communications Specialist, you will play a central role in bringing this vision to life. You are a strong storyteller and strategic thinker who can translate complex financial concepts into clear, engaging, and audience-centric content. You will collaborate across teams, including Marketing, Advisory Services, Administration, and Client Solutions—to deliver integrated campaigns, thought leadership, and communications that strengthen CDSPI’s reputation and deepen client engagement.

Compensation:
The expected salary range for this role is $80,000 – $100,000 per annum, based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for comprehensive benefits including participation in our Group RSP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion and uphold the CDSPI brand, ensuring all communications reflect our mission, value proposition, and role within the dental community
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive engagement, acquisition, retention, and client advocacy
- Create high-quality, compelling content across channels, including articles, emails, web copy, social media, presentations, videos, and advisor enablement materials—translating complex financial and insurance concepts into clear, engaging messaging for a highly educated, professional audience
- Work closely with teams across Administration, Advisory Services, Client Solutions, and Executive leadership to plan, write, and edit accurate, compliant, and audience-focused internal and external communications, including product information, administrative processes, operational communications, executive messaging, thought leadership, and client materials
- Develop and support financial education content and sessions (e.g., webinars, and presentations), ensuring materials are clear, engaging, and aligned to client needs
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and inform marketing strategies
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Marketing and Customer Experience or Vice President, Marketing and Customer Experience
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- University degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
- 3-5 years of marketing or communication experience in the financial services industry
- Superior writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with a proven ability to write precise, clear, engaging copy for various communications materials, purposes and audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute creative marketing plans for a variety of campaigns and marketing initiatives
- Superior judgment of audiences’ needs and winning tactics
- Proficient in WordPress, InDesign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Co-Pilot
- Excellent project and time management experience to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines and goals.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid model: Work from home and the office
- Attend CDSPI's Toronto office as needed in accordance with company policy
