About the Job

CDSPI is seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst (Contract) to lead the assessment, redesign, and optimization of CDSPI’s processes and associated system changes.

The successful candidate will work closely with all areas of the organization to identify operational inefficiencies, document current-state processes, design future-state workflows, and define system requirements that support improved operational performance.

This role will focus initially on back-office process transformation, backlog prevention, workflow optimization, digital enablement, and implementation of supporting system changes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring business processes are streamlined, scalable, efficient, and aligned with CDSPI's future-state operating model.

This position represents a current, existing vacancy within the organization.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead end-to-end analysis of operational processes, workflows, and supporting systems.
  2. Document current-state processes, business rules, pain points, and operational constraints.
  3. Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate non-value-added activities, and improve efficiency through automation and digitization.
  4. Drive automation, digitization, and straight-through processing
  5. Design future-state processes that support improved service delivery, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
  6. Lead process engineering activities, including workflow analysis and process decomposition.
  7. Define and document business requirements for system changes and technology enhancements.
  8. Work closely with Technology teams and vendors to formulate solutions aligned with operational requirements.
  9. Facilitate workshops with users to validate requirements, workflows, and future-state processes.
  10. Support implementation activities, including development of test cases, testing, readiness assessments, and adoption of process and system changes.
  11. Develop process documentation, procedures, job aids, and training materials.
  12. Present recommendations and findings to project leadership and business stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or other post-secondary education in Business, Analytics, or Project management.
  • Five to seven years of Business Analysis, Process Engineering, Process Improvement, or Operational Transformation experience.
  • Proven experience leading complex process redesign initiatives.
  • Experience defining business requirements for technology-enabled process improvements. Demonstrated ability to connect operational challenges with system and technology solutions.
  • Expertise in process mapping, workflow optimization, and future-state process design, including the use of Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience implementing operational and system changes within service-based organizations, with insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated environments considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and workshop leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an asset.

Work Environment

Hybrid model: Work from home and the office.

Attend CDSPI's Toronto office as needed in accordance with company policy.
