About Mr. Oliver
Mr. Oliver was elected to the CDSPI Board in May 2019. He is the Chair of the Human Resources Committee at CDSPI and serves as a member of CDSPI’s Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee. Currently, Mr. Oliver is the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer at BRJO Investments Ltd. He also serves on several other Boards, including the Auto Sector Retiree Health Care Trust, Learning Matters Education Charity, and the Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation, where he is the Chair of the Investment Committee.
Additional Experience
Previously, Mr. Oliver was a senior executive at MD Financial Management, heading MD Private Investment Counsel and MD Management Limited. Prior to joining MD Financial Management, he held senior investment management roles at TD and CIBC.
Mr. Oliver graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce from the Rotman School of Management and a Master’s Degree in Economics. He holds the Corporate Director Certificate from Harvard Business School, the Digital Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School, plus the Chartered Director and Chartered Financial Analyst designations. Additionally, Mr. Oliver completed the Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management Executive Program at The Wharton School.
