Basic: No-Cost Undergraduate Package (Under 40)
With a simple application, students under age 40 qualify for the no-cost insurance offer. View the sample policy.
Basic: No-Cost Undergraduate Package (40+)
With a simple application, students ages 40-64 can qualify for the no-cost insurance offer. View the sample policy.
Optional: No-Cost Graduate Package
You can be approved for increased coverage limits after graduation by completing a medical questionnaire. View our sample policies: basic life, disability, AD&D.

Continue to Save After Graduation
If you are protected by the Undergraduate Package, your life, disability and accident coverage will DOUBLE upon graduation at no cost to you–giving you twice the protection until December 31 of your graduating year.
Once the no-cost period ends on December 31 of your graduation year, you’ll receive a 50% reduction on premiums for life, accident and office insurance for three years following your graduation. You will also receive a 15% lifetime reduction on premiums for DisabilityGuard™ Insurance. These premium reductions are available to you with no decrease in the amount of coverage.

TripleGuard™ and Malpractice Insurance are underwritten by Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. CDSPI Malpractice Insurance is offered in all provinces and territories except Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
No-cost coverage ends on December 31st of your graduation year. Coverage is available only to eligible full-time dental students who are enrolled at an accredited Canadian university at the time of application. Coverage in the Undergraduate Package starts on the date on which your properly completed application to enroll is received by CDSPI. The “Double-Up” Graduate Package automatically starts on your graduation date. The Optional Graduate Package coverage starts on the date of your graduation or the date your application is approved if later. After graduation, you will be sent a separate activation form for TripleGuard™ Insurance. No medical evidence is required to obtain TripleGuard™ Insurance. Student who are age 65 or over are not eligible for Life, Disability Insurance and AD&D coverage.
Students graduating in the year 2026 onwards, must be a member of the Canadian Dental Association or provincial or territorial dental association, which, at the relevant time, is a corporate member of the Canadian Dental Association, in order to be eligible for the premium reductions.
